The Ilocandia: Arinaya Beach

Apparently, Pagudpud is a huge place consisting of several white beaches in different coasts. Arinaya, located at the far end of Malingay, has the characteristics opposite to that of the beach where we're staying. The waters in this side of the sea is calm, with only small waves breaking at the shore, but deep.

Day 2: Arinaya White Beach

It rained the night before and surprisingly, I didn't notice the downpour. Must be the peaceful night with only the sound of the waves in the background. That day was Dona's birthday and also the day Manny Pacquiao fights Sugar Shane Mosley.

We planned to go to the other side of Pagudpud, asked Manong Danny to just drop us there and then he can return to Wally's to watch the boxing match. After breakfast and even before figuring out what we're really gonna do for that day, it rained again. We had no choice but to stay indoors--some played cards, some watched TV while I chose to doze off.

By noon, the rain stopped and we were already hungry so we really had to go out no matter what.

We first went to the Municipal Beach Park but upon discovering there was nowhere to eat meals in there, we moved to Arinaya White Beach resort and we're happy we did because there were fewer people in the beach and they have amenities for guests seeking activities aside from swimming.

A mild rain fell while we're swimming, which was to completely responsible for this sight:

We stayed until sunset.

We checked out from the resort at 6 p.m. and went to buy cooked food for dinner. It was a sumptuous dinner for Dona's birthday celebration. We wanted to drink but realizing we had to wake up early the next day for the Ilocandia exit tour, we agreed to just drink when in Baguio.
