The Eagles Have Landed: PH Marketing2 Goes to Pugad

Our team manager was the brain of this idea that we do a little charity activity since most of the year, most of us spent fortunes in travelling in and out of the country. And since we're a bunch of kindhearted people (haha) who believes in giving/sharing, we instantly agreed.

The first plan was to conduct a feeding program in a village in Tondo, but then we assumed that the place might be too extreme for some of us, hehe. I mean baka magulat/culture shock ang mga tao. So we opted for Don Bosco Pugad, home for the poor and needy youth, which is located in Makati.

Since we already had groups (survivor tribes) we were then given tasks. I was praying to get the finance but luckily (read sarcasm) I picked the programme committee. Yun lang naman ang pinaka-haggard na trabaho. I know coz in college, I had orgs/soro and programme, food, logistics lagi ang pinakamahirap. Sook Jai had to create the program, think of games and prizes and set the call time, etc. Thank goodness I have a bright, bibo, talented and smart tribe members. :D Although, slightly sumakit ulo ko nung nalaman kong di makakapunta si Enzo, the most bibo kid in Marketing 2. Anyway, let's skip all the drama and fast forward to the big day itself.

Here are some snapshots and videos:

Intermission numbers (because we failed to improvise for intermission, we asked the boys themselves to do the entertainment part, hehe, which was th right thing to do since may mga talent talaga ang mga bata, nakkainsecure)

Cheerdance competition:

Game results:

Pingpong Relay: Sook Jai - 1st place
The Ultimate Rubberband Game: Sook Jai - 1st place
Cheerdance Competition: Sook Jai - 2nd place
Pinoy Henyo: Sook Jai - 1st place

Partida host si Essa at Marco, ako all-around, wala si Enzo, havey talaga ang team ko! Syempre pa, Sook Jai ang overall winner. :D

After the Pinoy Henyo game, we had to move out of the gym and transfer to a nearby hall where we resumed with the program.

The euphoric feeling after the event is just matchless! We can tell the Pugad boys did enjoy our little activity for them. Father Dave himself said they never really expect any organization to choose to spent a charity event with them since most usually target the children. I have to agree with that, basing on my experience from my sorority. While we were having lunch at Karate Kid, everyone was sharing how they are happy that we're able to make the kids/pugad boys happy even just for the few hours we spent with them.

I really miss doing such activities. Ang haggard lang and I thought maraming magiging palpak but we managed to get everything done right and the event was a success! :D Kudos Marketing 2!
