Drunk by Lights

"Let's go for some BBZ." I think Mara moving in to Manila is not a very good idea. It's only Tuesday yet there we were, downing all the lights that we can. Dona and Virge are leaving for Hong Kong so I said yes for the BBZ thinking it would be a just quick meet up. But then again, Baguio people will always be Baguio people (read: strong drinkers).

We were only drinking lights but by 11, we're already having a no holds barred kind of conversation. Name-dropping here and there. From Dencio's, some silly thing made us decide to continue drinking at the two girls' apartment. We were crazy-persistent to want to find the answer to: where really was Melvin during that historical tequila night at our apartment back in Sta. Escolastica, Baguio sometime in August 2008. That was the time I passed out early, and people had their own scenes. After midnight, Melvin and Karen were the only ones awake.

We took a cab, dropped by an express convenience store (we're like delinquent high schoolers putting just anything we could see in our cart because we asked the cab to wait for us). And then there we were...

We expected Dona's housemates to join us but only Majo did. Her cousin took some bottles of beer though and drank upstairs. Nakukulitan siguro samin.

The girls had to leave by before 12 because their flight is in Clark early morning. The rest of us continued drinking anyway. I am still amused that despite the fact that we've done this too many times before, I always learn something new about friends and the people we know and about the past- usually hilarious things. Yes, this is what we do when drinking, we talked about those who aren't with us. :p
