Jeff + Majane Wedding

It was in October of last year when this woman posted in our Facebook group a pregnancy kit with 2 pink lines. Overflowing comments followed, most are shocked, some considered it a prank. I was one of the latter. After a day or two, she posted another photo, this time with 2 preggy kits each having 2 pink lines. Most of us were convinced but I remained unconvinced until few days later, those who are based in Cagayan started talking seriously about the pregnancy thing. So it's true after all.

Scared of how her father would react, she hid her pregnancy from her family. Only us, her closest friends knew about it. At Christmastime, few months later, we finally met the boyfriend. The couple still didn't have any concrete plans then. Few more months later, I received an SMS informing inviting me to this wedding that's gonna happen in a few months. (Whew, that's too many few months in one paragraph.)

And so on the 28th of April, one of my best friends, Majane and her fiance Jeff tied the knot at St. Vincent Ferrer Parish Church in their hometown Buguey, Cagayan. A baby girl is on the way. :)

This is what I wore, photographed by mother infront of our house. I was feeling the fiesta vibe with all the colors. Kid at the back included because this is the only ~good~ photo I have of my outfit. :p

Parlor time!
The bride and soon-to-be-mom
Always the bridesmaid. ;)

At one point during the ceremony, the priest asked the couple to read aloud their vows to each other which was written in the invitation, and then the bride realized her vow was too cheesy so she started to hesitate. Then the priest noticed it and told them they could stop the ceremony if they're really not serious with getting married. :p

Let's proceed to the reception and all the dancing that followed. This is my second favorite part in weddings (first, being the reception :p) - that time when people pin money on the couple's clothes while they were dancing. :)

I never dance in events like these, (the only time I danced was during our the prom in high school). No matter how my friends coerced me, I did not get swayed. Tigas. :p Tin and Yvonne were popular picks that night, maybe because they weren't from the place and because they're magaganda (bolahan sa sagingan).

After a couple of hours of dancing, Tin and Bon escaped from the dance floor and we went drinking at the sound system area. Tin knows one of the guys so we had the opportunity to suggest songs to be played and at some point experimented on the laser and strobe lights, hehe. It's quite dark in the area and we thought nobody would see us there, but we were wrong. Still, some guys went in and asked for us to dance, pero ayoko pa rin, buti na lang sport yung dalawa kong kasama. :)

At one point, we were getting bored so we thought of getting something to eat. Tin and Bon volunteered to get food. After a while, I noticed familiar faces on the dance floor. Once they got back, they said they weren't given food unless they dance first. :p

Funny things happened later that night when Tin caught the bouquet and her partner Floro caught the garter. Earlier, the guy took Tin dancing for a number of times and we were beginning to tease Tin because she seemed to have captured his partner's attention. Leave it all to destiny, it knows what it has to do. lulz

We stayed for the night and planned to go beaching early next morning but El Presidente beach was temporarily closed and we didn't know any alternatives. Majane's Dad asked us to go with them for a picnic at their old house in the farm but I had to go home. Tin and Bon stayed and just told me their happy and yummy stories of the picnic. Next time. :)
