Pinto Art Museum: Where Nature Meets Art

Went somewhere nice with my housemates last weekend. I moved to an apartment in Pasig which makes my life more convenient since it's near the workplace. Also, it is always fun living with friends!

Last weekend, we went to Pinto Art Museum, with their other friend, Mycel. Dubbed "Rogelios' day off", we wore sunglasses (to fight off extreme sunlight), and also to be in character. At least while waiting for our ride.

Karen did the research. On what we should do, or where we should go, etc. I just followed. We rode an fx from Megamall to Antipolo. The 1-hour ride was sleeping time, of course. When we reached Antipolo, we snacked while we waited for Mycel. When we're good to go, we hailed a tricycle to take us to Pinto Art Museum.

I am so glad we made this trip. This is a much-needed break for me.

Nahirapan kami dito. Walang marunong kumuha ng group selfie.

Nature meets art. Pinto Art Museum is located in the highlands of Rizal thus the rich greens surrounding the place. The air is fresh is this side of the planet.
I have always been fascinated by Narcissus' story.
The great Kalinga traditional tattoo artist Whang-od has a portrait at the Museum Shop.
The overall theme of the Pinto Art Museum aside from Greece-y is rustic. This looks like a scene straight from a movie.
There are lots of sculptures displayed outdoors. And also, doggies running around.
This is probably the most photographed artwork in the museum.

And of course, paintings. Almost all galleries has them.

Lots of cool art installations, too!

Dito lang kami marunong magselfie! Dahil may mirror.
The galleries have decks where you can get a view of the nearby barangays, also a good view of how polluted Metro Manila is.

Recline! Matagal kami tumambay dito. Nakakapagod mga ate. Ang daming lilibutin.
Pagod.

There are a lot of resting areas such as this all over the place. Whenever you feel tired from walking (because it's a huge place), you can lie in one of the beds, or sit in the benches/chairs.
I love love love this. Thanks, No!
From the museum, we went to Marikina's Lilac Street to eat. Would've loved to go on a food trip, but we're already full after eating this halo-halo. We ended up just buying takeout from Concho's, sisig syempre.

Kabigting's halo-halo
(My phone, where I had tons of photos, was stolen, so these are only the photos from the trip that were posted on my Instagram. And also photos of me and the gang by Ryan and Karen.)
