It's Christmas in the Philippines!

The brightest star in the workplace at the moment. We had several foreign visitors this week and every time they came in to the office, a colleague will explain to them what this is.

While having lunch, our Indonesian colleague loved the mangoes we served we told him to just eat everything since we still have some in the fridge and in the tray at the table (where the belen is). He replied: But that's for baby Jesus.
Us: No, no, no! We just put the fruits there as display. 😂

When we're the only ones left in the office, a senior colleague asked our admin officer where Joseph is in the nativity.
"Wala. King yan eh."
"Heto oh. Iniistima niya yung isang hari."
True enough, andun siya sa gilid mukhang pinapapasok or pinapaupo yung isang hari. 😂 We will have to stick with this narrative because the figurines are not movable.

Aside from the belen which seemed to be appreciated by everyone, the other Christmas decors at the office this year are cute as well. And most are made of local materials. Pinoy ingenuity.

At may rides mini-versions which reminded me of probinsya perya.

On the way to my hometown, we passed by this lit church in San Jose, Nueva Ecija. The entire facade bathed in blue, white, and yellow lights. I kind of appreciated the short traffic build up when we passed by it on the way home to Cagayan because we got to appreciate the lovely view.
